| Hi my name is Karl and I teach all forms of guitar and also the Piano and drums for all levels and all ages. I am 41 and I have been playing the guitar and piano for as long as I can remember. I was probably about 9 when I began strumming away - trying to work out the chords to Buddy Holly and The Beatles songs. I remember weekends being spent between piano lessons, playing the guitar and sitting with my Gran who would teach me plenty of songs - most of which you don't hear any more, but I have all the words scribbled down in my scrap book!!
I have two children of my own now, a boy who is almost 16 and a girl who is 13. It fills me with pride and nostalgia when I see my son sitting in his room, guitar in hand, aking me "Dad what's this chord" Only now it's Greenday and Nickleback songs he wants to learn! My daughter is the actress and dancer of the family, and both of them love singing - so between us we can put on quite a show!! My wife, Jayne, sticks to the audience, however, and whilst she is not herself musical she looks after the business side of things, with a first class honours degree in Education and Training, she ensures that the high quality of our lessons and services are maintained.
I have played in many tribute bands over the years - from The Beatles to The Jam and plenty in between.
