At the Music Academy we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn an instrument or explore a variety of instruments through fun workshops.
MASC offer a range of services including individual tuition in guitar, bass, drumming, piano, violin, trumpet, saxophone, violin and clarinet.
We also offer group jamming sessions and a new opportunity for those looking to be in a band - 'vocal, performance and band management'. a new concept to provide information on gigging, including how to set up equipment, stage a performance, taking bookings, insurance, declaring income and the role of the Musicians Union.
Other services include a local, independent music shop, school and holiday workshops, band rehearsal space, recording facilities, guitar re-string service, free half hour 'viewings' to allow you to browse and try a range of guitars before you buy, gift vouchers, and we will store items for you for special occasions such as Christmas or Birthdays.
For schools and community groups MASC offer a peripatetic music tuition service to all Hull and East Riding schools. We also offer a range of music workshops using a range of instruments from around the world to allow children to explore music. MASC are also able to provide performers and/or equipment for school, community or charitable events.
MASC hold an annual festival of music at the Freedom Centre in Hull giving all our students the opportunity to perform.
